The Keeter Center now offers curbside service for Dobyns Dining Room restaurant. Food lovers will have a menu selection for lunch and dinner options that highlights the traditional farm-to-fork cuisine for which the restaurant is known.
“We are excited to welcome students back and to offer curbside service for lunch and dinner menu options,” said Tom Healey, The Keeter Center and Guest Destinations general manager. “We hope our guests will welcome the opportunity to order their favorites from our menu, and we anticipate the curbside service option will become a permanent part of our landscape.”
Curbside service is simple and convenient with an online ordering process. Once arriving on campus, guests will see curbside parking clearly marked. A Keeter Center representative will greet guests and bring out orders.
The Keeter Center is offering specialty items, in addition to menu options, for order and pickup. These items include specialty groceries raised on campus (milk, meats, and student-made fruit spreads); coffee shop items, including signature lattes and espresso; bakery items such as freshly baked breads; and homemade ice cream from Nettie Marie’s Creamery, available by the cup or by the pint.
Overnight lodging in the Keeter Center’s Mabee Lodge is open for guest stays as well. To check availability, those interested are asked to call (417) 239-1900.
“We appreciate your patience as we cautiously proceed through reopening stages with the safety of our students, campus family, and guests at the heart of everything we do,” Healey said. “As we gradually increase the number of students on campus, you will see our facility come to life. As the largest workstation on campus, we depend on students to help us deliver the exceptional guest service everyone has come to know and love.”
What to expect
Improvements at the front gate of College of the Ozarks and The Keeter Center make access smooth and new safety guidelines easy to implement. As guests approach the front gate, they will receive a temperature check and further instruction regarding how to proceed. The new round-about takes guests along the west side of The Keeter Center building, and the new road behind the building brings them to the front entry of the lodge.
All facilities have been deep-cleaned and disinfected. The Keeter Center staff maintain a schedule of multiple disinfecting cleanings daily to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests. Staff are required to wear a mask at all times, and guests also are asked to mask at all times unless they are in their guest rooms.
Currently, The Keeter Center is closed to the general public with the exception of registered hotel guests. The Keeter Center management along with College administrators are cautiously considering these well-known services for re-opening at a later date:
- Dobyns Dining Room
- Sunday Brunch & Holiday Brunches
- College Creamery and Bakery
- Catering & Events
